Earthquake of 6.6 magnitude recorded, no Tsunami threat!

Colombo (LNW): An earthquake has occurred in the Indian Ocean with a 6.6 magnitude, but there will be no threat of the occurrence of a tsunami, the National Tsunami Early Warning Centre of the Department of Meteorology said in a statement.

People living near and along the coastal areas around the island are informed that there is no threat of a tsunami.
