State Minister Ashoka Priyantha Updates on Grama Niladhari Officer Selection

March 16, Colombo (LNW): State Minister of Home Affairs, Ashoka Priyantha, revealed ongoing interviews for the recruitment of Grama Niladhari officers across 2002 vacant divisions, with appointments slated before April’s conclusion.

Speaking at a press briefing themed ‘Collective Path to a Stable Country’ at the Presidential Media Centre (PMC), Priyantha underscored the transformative potential of President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s agenda, envisioning substantial enhancements in the nation’s economy and overall welfare through continued adherence to this trajectory.

In a significant development, Priyantha announced progress on the Grama Niladhari Constitution, a pivotal concern for the officers. He disclosed that the draft has been presented via a cabinet paper, awaiting approval from the Cabinet of Ministers before advancing to the next phase of implementation.
