It is such a joke that Weerawansa and Gammanpila are talking ‘to get the country on the right path’ under the chairmanship of Maithri – Rohitha

Date:

Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardena says that it is a world joke that Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila are keeping former President Maithripala Sirisena in the chair and talking ‘To get the whole country on the right path.

“The Sri Lanka Freedom Party is trying to lead the whole country in the right direction with former President Maithripala Sirisena. They have chaired the leader who misled the whole country from 2015 to the end of 2019 and destroyed the country and Wimal Weerawansa is now blaming the government. Basil Rajapaksa, our Minister of Finance is being indirectly attacked. He enjoys all the privileges of a Cabinet Minister without any shortcomings and keeps blaming the same government in front of the mic.

Wimal Weerawansa has spoken like this everywhere. Here it is (shows a video scolding Maithripala Sirisena). In 2015 a conspiracy was hatched to overthrow the government and it was with the conspirators who went to the same stage and tried to go in the right direction. If we go like this, the whole country will have to go a journey together with them.

What Wimal Weerawansa is trying to do now is to find a party to join in the next election. It was the SLPP that built the platforms for those people. If he cannot stay with the government he can leave the government. The Minister in charge of the subject Udaya Gammanpila should know to bring some fuel to the country to fulfill the requirment. If he can’t do that, there is no need of him.”

Rohitha Abeygunawardena stated this while expressing his views to the media yesterday (03).
