Former MP Hirunika Premachandra’s house attacked: Fonseka

Date:

Former MP Hirunika Premachandra is subject to threatening by politicians of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) the Ruling Party for reaching out to the President’s Residence with a group of women to hand over a letter, said SJB MP Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, speaking in Parliament today (08).

Revealing that SLPP supporters have been harassing residents near former MP Premachandra’s house in Kolonnawa over the past few days, MP Fonseka added that while the whole world is celebrating the International Women’s Day today, politicians and party members of the Ruling Party are celebrating the day by persecuting women and children.

The SJB MP also disclosed that a group of SLPP supporters have launched a faeces attack at Mrs. Premachandra’s house, suggesting that the Ruling Party’s symbol, therefore, may have been ‘faeces’ instead of the Lotus Bud.

Accordingly, the SLPP, which is insulting women, will be responded by the voters in the upcoming elections, Fonseka further noted in Parliament.
