Date:

September 20, Colombo (LNW): The Education Ministry has announced that a decision on whether to re-conduct the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination will be made after the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Examinations Department conclude their investigations into the alleged leak of exam questions.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Education stated that the decision will depend on the findings and recommendations of these investigations. This response follows complaints from parents claiming that multiple exam questions were leaked prior to the examination, prompting calls for a fresh exam.
