The Election Commission has announced the preference vote results for the Polonnaruwa District, with NPP’s T.B. Sarath receiving the highest preference votes.
National People’s Power (NPP):
- T.B. Sarath – 105,137 votes
- Jagath Wickremerathna – 51,391 votes
- Sunil Rathnasiri – 51,077 votes
- Pathmasiri Bandara – 45,096 votes
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB):
- Kins Nelson – 28,682 votes (secures SJB’s only seat)
