The Station Masters’ Association says that they have decided to intensify the trade union action as the Railway Department has not acted to fulfill their demands.
The President of the Association Sumedha Somaratne stated that although they have been carrying out his trade union action in a manner that has not caused any inconvenience to the passengers for several days now, he is not ready to run or run the minimum number of trains required for passengers from midnight today further as the Railway Administration is slipping in front of their demands.
He said that he was concerned about the inconvenience caused to passengers due to this.
