Several areas to witness further showers: Misty conditions expected during morning (Mar 23)

Date:

March 23, Colombo (LNW): Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Marine Weather:

Condition of Rain:
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in the sea areas extending from Colombo to Hambantota via Galle. Mainly fair weather will prevail over the other sea areas around the island.
Winds:
Winds will be Easterly or variable and speed will be (20-30) kmph. 
State of Sea:
Sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate. Temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
