May 04, Colombo (LNW): Thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in for Uva, Sabaragamuwa and Southern provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya and Ampara districts, the Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre of the Department of Meteorology said in a warning this (04) afternoon.
There may be temporary localised strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by lightning activity.
