Protest in Peradeniya. Police launch tear gas and water attack

University students have launched a massive protest at Gahala Junction, Peradeniya, despite the ongoing curfew island wide.

The protest, despite being peaceful, has been pushed back with tear gas and water attacks launched by the Police.

Police officers have been deployed in large numbers in front of the Peradeniya University since this (03) morning.
