National Safety Day Celebration (PHOTOS)

This year’s National Safety Day was organised with the participation of a limited number of people at the district level islandwide, in adherence to the health guidelines due to the Covid-19 situation.

The event was held in front of the Paraliya Tsunami Memorial in Thelwatta, Galle with the participation of the Tri-forces, the Police and the Public.

Religious observances were held to pay their last respects to the victims of many disasters including Tsunami. Those died of the Tsunami tragedy and others were commemorated from 9.25 am to 9.27 am.
