President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has informed the Chief Prelates of the Tri-Order of Buddhism in writing that he is ready for an interim administration, said Secretary of the Asgiri Chapter Medagama Dhammananda Thero.
The President has confirmed his decision in response to the request made by the Chief Prelates of the Tri-Order of Buddhism for the President to intervene in solving the prevailing crises.
Accordingly, the President has promised that he will act in providing solutions to the crises for the well-being of the people.
However, anti-government protests continue to grow demanding the immediate stepping down of President Rajapaksa and his regime.
