Earthquake recorded 300 kilometers off Sri Lanka

The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau says an earthquake has occurred 300 km off the northeast coast of Sri Lanka.

The magnitude of the quake was 4.3 on the Richter scale, said the Bureau’s chairman Anura Walpola.

However, there is no risk of a tsunami to Sri Lanka, he said.
