Request to obtain Court order barring protest outside PM’s House denied!

Date:

The Court has denied a request made by the Police to obtain a court order barring the protest held outside Temple Trees.

The Kollupitiya Police had made this request to the Colombo Magistrate Court today (25).

Denying the request, Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawala stated that the Police could take an action against the protesters only in an event of them acting in a manner causing public nuisance.
