All trade unions ready to endorse all-island strike action!

Trade unions of all sectors including government, semi-government, private and estate sectors have agreed to endorse the all-island strike action tomorrow (28).

Accordingly, more than a thousand trade unions are set to join the strike and hartal tomorrow, making day to day activities of all sectors including schools, postal service, transport, health and banks come to a standstill.

The all-island strike action was organised against the government’s arbitrary conduct behind the people’s back and as a first step, teachers, principals and advisors to the teachers islandwide launched a token strike on April 25th.
