IGP has not yet received the arrest warrant for SSP Keerthiratne – Media Spokesman

The police spokesman said that IGP has not yet received the order issued by the Kegalle Magistrate’s Court yesterday (27) to arrest SSP K.B. Keerthiratne and other police officers in charge of the Kegalle division in connection with the shooting death of a man in a public protest in the Rambukkana area.

He has stated to the media this morning (28) that necessary action will be taken after receiving the order.

SSP Keerthiratne had been admitted to the Narahenpita Police Hospital yesterday to avoid being arrested and produced before the court.
