Foreign media reports 91 people have been killed after an earthquake measuring 7.0 on Richter scale hit the Indonesian island Lombok.
Thousands of buildings have been destroyed due to the earthquake. Officials of the Disaster Management Agency said the number of people died may increase.
The earthquake was followed by 130 aftershocks. The earthquake was felt on the famous tourist island Bali as well.
The earthquake hit yesterday morning, and even though a tsunami warning had been issued, it has been lifted after a few hours.
In last week, 16 people were killed in an earthquake in this region.
Population of Bali and Lombok is three and four million respectively. Each year, millions of tourists from around the world visit the two islands.
