Female journalist hacked to death in Bangladesh

A female journalist of a private television channel in Bangladesh has been hacked to death by unidentified attackers at her home.

Subarna Nodi, 32, worked as Pabna district correspondent for Ananda TV; Pabna district was her home town. Apart from that, she worked for the Daily Jagroto Bangla Newspaper as well.

Pabna ASP Goutam Kumar Biswas has told the media that Subarna was murdered around 10 pm on Tuesday. She has been declared dead when she was admitted to the hospital.

Witnesses have stated that the number of assailants was approximately 10 – 12 and they were riding on motorcycles.

The police have stated that investigations are being carried out with regard to the murder.
