Democratic Party leader Field Marshall Sarath Fonseka said there is no inequity of releasing the LTTE suspects when a strong LTTE stalwart Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP is living scot free.
Sarath Fonseka said during the final stages of the war 12,000 LTTE carders surrendered to the army and they have gone through rehabilitation and reintegrated back to the society.
He said it is fair to release those suspects who were detained for a long time. He said that some elements are using this for political gains.
He stressed this during a press conference held yesterday the 13th in Colombo.
