The group of 16 Sri Lanka Freedom Party MPs who left the Unity Government will hold a meeting with the former Defense Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, tomorrow the 12th of June 2018.

After a long discussion between President Maithripala Sirisena and Minister of Finance and Media Mangala Samaraweera, it has been decided to reduce the price of Kerosene to Rs 70 a liter.

Joint Opposition MP Prasanna Ranathunga says that the 16 SLFP MPs who left the government must choose either Pohottuwa led by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa or the leadership of present President Maithripala Sirisena.

The President Maithripala Sirisena  has appointed  a task force of 48 to coordinate and monitor development activities in the 
Northern and Eastern Provinces.The task force, chaired by the President. It  will review the development projects so far launched in the Northern and Eastern Provinces since the end of the conflict and accelerate the development process.
