State minister Sujeewa Senasinghe says he is prepared to resign from his parliamentary seat for having accepted money from the Mendis Company owned by Arjun Aloysius, a respondent in the Central Bank bond scam. However, he wants the PM, speaker or the Mahanayake Theras to make a request for him to resign.
Senasinghe also says he will spend the Rs. three million he obtained for social services activities. He says he did not find any issue with accepting the money for his electioneering. Accepting the money and the bond matter are unrelated, he adds.
