Nalinda Jayatissa to take legal actions against Maithri Gunarathna

JVP MP Nalinda Jayatissa confirmed that he will shortly take legal action against Maithri Gunaratne the Secretary of the United National Freedom Front and former UNP provincial Councillor, whom he claims accused him of accepting money from Perpetual Treasuries owner Arjun Aloysius.

Member of Parliament Jayatissa posting a comment on his Facebook page made this claim.

MP Nalinda Jayatissa stated that Gunaratne had claimed that he had accepted these monies from Arjun Aloysius through Journalist Mahesh Senanayake.

“Those who took money from Arjun Aloysius are now attempting to get rid of their accusations by shifting the blame onto others. It is not difficult for us to recognize who is instigating Maithri Gunaratne to make these false accusations. I will take legal action against Maithri Gunaratne ” he mentioned.

So far After Ministers Dayasiri Jayasekara, Sarath Fonseka and Sujeewa Senainghe have confirmed that those responsible for their election campaigns have received monies from one of Arjun Aloysius' companies W.M. Mendis Company which is affiliated to the Perpetual Treasuries Ltd. (PTL).

Even though Minister Dayasiri Jayasekara confirmed that there is a list of 118 persons who have accepted monies from Arjun Aloysius so far, the Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya announced that there is no such list.
