MP Dallas Alahapperuma emphasized that the government is listening to citizens’ telephone conversations. He made this statement today (8) at a press conference organized by the Joint Opposition (JO).
He added that it is happening at a house in Nugegoda, under the supervision of a Deputy Inspector General.
This is not a threat faced only by the members of the JO, telephone conversations of journalists, certain police officers and also MPs of the government are also tapped, he added.
He stressed that this situation is more dangerous than a police run state.
