The deadline to submit proposals to the commission appointed to look into salary anomalies of all public servants is today (14).
The commission says that proposals can be submitted today as well.
President Maithripala Sirisena appointed the special commission to resolve salary anomalies in several state sector services including railway, health and postal services.
The commission has been assigned the tasks of minimizing salary anomalies after studying existing salary anomalies in the public sector, and studying and providing recommendations on an optimal salary structure for the public sector and the recruitment of qualified officers.
On 22 August, members of the commission were gazetted, and former senior official of public administration service Mr. S. Ranugge was named the Chairman of the 15-member commission. The commission began work on 3 September.
