222 SL workers died in foreign countries

Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau states that 222 Sri Lankans who worked overseas were killed due to various circumstances within the last 11 months.

50 among them were reportedly women, while 145 were killed on natural circumstances.

The Bureau further went on to say that among deaths reported due to suicide were 25 men and 6 women, while 21 were killed in road accidents.

An estimated amount of 7 Million Rupees has been spent to deliver the bodies back to the country this year.

Many of whom were killed in overseas are reported from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar.
