As per the fuel pricing formula, the revised fuel prices are scheduled to be announced today (11 February).
The committee appointed to determine fuel prices meet on the 10th day of every month and decides fuel prices applicable for the following month.
Last month, the price of petrol was reduced by Rs 2, diesel by Rs 2 and super diesel by Rs 3, when the price of a barrel of crude oil in the world market was USD 59.
It is reported that the crude oil price in the world market has increased up to USD 62.
However, as of today, the prices of a liter of octane 92 and octane 95 are Rs 123 and Rs 147, respectively. The prices of auto diesel and super diesel are Rs 99 and Rs 118 respectively.
