The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABC) yesterday (19) withdrew four cases filed against Johnston Fernando for failing to declare assets and liabilities when he served as a minister.
The CIABC told the court that it wishes to withdraw the cases in question due to certain technical errors.
Cases had been filed against Johnston Fernando for failing to declare assets and liabilities for the years 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
The CIABC had filed five cases against him. On 29th January 2019, the court acquitted him from one of the cases.
