President Maithripala Sirisena has returned to the country after his visit to Beijing, China to attend the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC) held on Wednesday (15).
Reports say that the President with his group of delegates arrived back in the island early this morning (16).
President Maithripala Sirisena met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang during his visit.
The first session of the International Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC) was held under the patronage of Chinese President Xi Jingping.
President Sirisena, who was a special invitee to the conference, also addressed the event leaving his remarks.
The conference was held to address Asian civilizations in light of making safeguard to mutual interest, trust and respect among nations over the world.
Reports say that over two thousand world leaders and delegates participated in the conference.
