SriLankan CEO continues despite removal decision

Suren Ratwatte continues to function as CEO of SriLankan Airlines despite a director board decision that he should be removed from the position, reports say.

He recently returned from a private visit to Australia.

The directors of the national carrier sent a written recommendation for the removal of Ratwatte as the institution had failed to show any progress under him, according to ‘Sunday Times.’

Drawing a monthly salary of around Rs. four millions a month, he is a brother of senior advisor to the prime minister Charitha Ratwatte.
