People have forgotten killings, abductions during previous regime – Rajitha
Health minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne this morning (17) participated in 11 development projects at the Chilaw general hospital. Speaking on the occasion, he said the present regime might have certain shortcomings, but that it was marching forward to a definite direction while providing relief to the people.
He said he was one of the members of the three member committee appointed by the prime minister to expedite investigations into the fraud, corruption and killings that took place during the previous regime. Now, no such crimes are taking place in the country. But, the people have forgotten that past, they remember only the prices of the coconut and the rice. Even Velupillai Prabhakaran said that the Sinhalese remembered a thing only for two weeks.
