Disrupt Asia 2018

The third edition of Sri Lanka’s prominent IT Start-up Conference and Innovation Festival, Disrupt Asia 2018, will take place at Trace – Expert City from 4 pm to midnight on 11 August 2018.

Disrupt Asia 2018 is organized by Information and Communication Technology (ICTA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Telecommunication, Digital Infrastructure and Foreign Employment and is sponsored by IKT Norge as the International Partner, PwC as the Knowledge Partner, GIZ Sri Lanka and Trace – Expert City as the Supporting Partners, PayHere as the Payment Partner, GudPal as the Volunteer Partner, SLASSCOM as the Eco System Partner, Igniter Space as the Makerspace, IdeaHell as the YouTube Partner, UNDP Sri Lanka as the Social Innovation Partner, Gamer.lk as the Creative Pavilion partner and Calcey Technologies, Orange Electric, WSO2 and CodeGen as the Hosting Partners.

Due to the commitment of ICTA, Disrupt Asia 2018 has achieved a great success and will be important in encouraging the next generation of IT in Sri Lanka. Disrupt 2018 has been organized in a manner which interests participants in innovation and entrepreneurship.

During the conference, the need of principles and strategies will be emphasized and the successes and failures of innovators will be discussed. Also, at the conference, experts from the USA, Netherland, the UK and India will exchange their knowledge on AI and digital marketing and safety.

The conference will consist of 4 parts and the main stage, second stage, investors’ conference and workshops will be held simultaneously. The keynote address will be delivered by the Managing Director of XLr8 Andrah Pradesh Technology business Accelerator (University of Texas at Austin Extension), Glen Robinson and the concluding speech will be delivered by Director of Tango Tab in Texas, USA. Three participants selected from the innovation tournament will be selected for the Grand Finale of the Disrupt Asia Start-up Battle. The winners will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to participate in the Oslo Innovation Week 2018 in September.
