Singer Fashion Show 2018

Singer Fashion Show and Awards Ceremony 2018 was held at Bishops College Auditorium yesterday (11).

The event is held annually and gives the opportunity for the students of Singer Fashion Academy to show their talents and creations.

The fashion show consisted of seven categories, namely, Kandyan Wear, Casual Wear, Office Wear, Kids’ Wear, Gents’ Wear, Evening Wear and Indian Wear and awards were given to winners who won first, second and third places.

Certificates were also awarded to students who successfully completed Diploma in Scientific Dress Making and Diploma in Machine Embroidery.

Aside from that, all students who presented their creations at the fashion show were given a certificate.

Head of Singer Sri Lanka Business School Koshitha Peramunagamage, speaking at the event, stated that four recently-introduced courses including certificate course on fashion designing, and two other diploma courses, have been accepted by the Chartered Society of Designers – UK (CSD). Through that, the students will receive international recognition, and an increase in local and international employment can be anticipated, he added.
