Parallel to the appointment of Mr. Mahinda Rajapakshe as the new Prime Minister, his supporters tend to spread their bliss across the country through cut-outs, banners and billboards in every corner, as if the history in which majority of our country wiped out from their memory has been recalled. Supporters, albeit not really, are but his own henchmen.
Some of the cut-outs display that Mr. Mahinda Rajapakshe was sworn in as the President. Although they might be mistakes, for those who are very well aware of Mahinda’s history it is not.
Despite the present, these cut-outs can influence the future. Mahinda Rajapakshe is not a person who is capable of making his mind to work under one’s command. Accordingly, he definitely would attempt to reach further not stopping from acquiring the role of Prime Minister. Apparently, Maithreepala Sirisena’s seat may likely to be purloined.
At the UNP’s protest today, one of the politicians said that the President has jumped into a lair of a crocodile that cannot afford to bear the pain of getting stung by lasia thorns.
Accordingly, now it is the President who should be careful. He might not have time to look up for the pages of the daily newspaper, than spending that to preserve his own seat, and probably will have to abandon his routine of going to bed at 10.
