The long running power cut amid drought has been setting country in severe crisis over the past period, and with dropping water levels of streams all power plants have been pushed to function below expected. Production of power has been dropped over the past month, with having a chaotic episode over the public. Minister of Power, Energy and Business Development Ravi Karunanayake has formally made statement in regard to the power crisis, promising to end the power cut from tonight (10) onwards with setting solutions to develop power sector in his capacity as the responsible authority.
