Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga won the International 500 Wickets limit during the second One Day Cricket Match between the Travelling England team and Sri Lanka today (13).
Lasith Malinga took 05 wickets in the match held at Dambulla International Cricket Stadium, scoring only 44 points in 10 balls.
Beating the England player Moin Ali at the 42nd ball of the match, Malinga completed his 500 wickets.
With the 05 wickets he won over today’s match, the number of times he won 05 wickets in ODI matches is 08. Malinga has a total of 502 wickets wont in Test, One Day and Twenty20 Internationals. It includes 101 Test wickets, 311 One Day wickets and 90 Twenty20 wickets.
The England team scored 278 points at the brick of 50 balls losing 09 wickets, and the match was interrupted with the rain when Sri Lanka scored 140 points losing 05 wickets.
