Govt to introduce new bill replacing PTA!

A new bill assuring National Security will be drafted replacing the currently enforced Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA), revealed Cabinet Spokesman Bandula Gunawardena.

As per a Cabinet decision, the drafting of the new bill is already in progress at the Justice Ministry, the Minister said addressing the briefing held in announcing Cabinet decisions today (23).

Once the new bill is drafted it will be tabled in Parliament for approval, he added.
