The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau has issued a crucial advisory to the general public, urging them to refrain from providing money to any external parties in pursuit of nursing jobs in Israel. The Bureau highlighted that, as per the existing Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries, Sri Lankans are exclusively eligible for nursing positions in Israel through the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau.
It has been announced that another group of individuals has been scheduled to depart for Israel on the 26th, securing employment opportunities in the country. The Sri Lankan Foreign Employment Bureau emphasized that since April 28, 2022, a total of 389 Sri Lankans have been granted work permits specifically in the nursing sector of Israel.
The Bureau’s directive serves as a reminder to the public to exercise caution and avoid engaging with unauthorized individuals or organizations that claim to facilitate nursing jobs in Israel. Adhering to the established protocol ensures the protection of the rights and welfare of Sri Lankan citizens seeking employment abroad, while also upholding the terms of the bilateral agreement between Sri Lanka and Israel.
