Lunch pack price soared by 20%

Date:

The price of a pack of fried rice, koththu and regular rice will soar by 20 per cent in response to the fuel price revision declared yesterday, said Chairman of the Restaurant Owners Association and Consumer Rights Activist Asela Sampath, speaking to a briefing held in Colombo today (19).

The decision has been taken in consideration of protecting both the consumer and the restaurant owner, but no price revision will be made on short-eats, he added.
