Postal workers have decided to launch an islandwide strike action in response to the assault launched at GotaGoGama in GalleFace by pro-government supporters. The strike action will be launched effective immediately.
In addition, protests are being launched across the country condemning the assault.
Meanwhile, lawyers and attorneys have launched a protest in front of the Hulftsdrop Court (Aluthkade) complex in Colombo in support to the GotaGoGama anti-government protesters, while medical officers, nurses and other officials of the Colombo National Hospital have also staged a protest.
