Singaporean PM warns citizens not to travel to SL

Date:

The Prime Minister of Singapore addressing a tourism consultation programme has urged the citizens of his country to refrain from travelling to Sri Lanka except for a matter of urgency.

The Singaporean Prime Minister has also called on Singaporeans currently staying in Sri Lanka to refrain from travelling around agitation sites and public assemblies, urging them to remain as safe as possible.

In the wake of the political, social and economic instability of Sri Lanka, many countries around the world are paying close attention on how affairs are being handled in the island nation, while taking steps to protect their citizens staying here.

Like Singapore, many world leaders have already issued travel advisories pertaining to Sri Lanka.
