Solutions can be sought only via clean democracy: Opposition Leader (VIDEO)

Date:

Decisions should be made by giving priority to the national interest and disregarding opportunistic decisions, said Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa, addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Samagi Bar Association at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) yesterday (20).

Today the lawlessness, injustice and inequity are rampant and human rights are being violated under a weak leadership, the Opposition Leader pointed out.

He added that inflation has skyrocketed, while the queuing up for employment grows, leading to an economic downturn.

Premadasa went on saying that the goals of victory cannot be achieved in a country where corruption is rampant and that the only way to achieve a solution is through clean democracy instead of switching heads.

The Samagi Bar Association is comprised of a pool of experienced lawyers including President’s Counsels and Senior Counsels.
