SLAF Relief Helicopter Crashes Into Gin River During Emergency Mission: No Casualties: Rescue Operations Successful

November 30, Colombo (LNW): A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter engaged in ongoing disaster-relief duties has been involved in an accident, police have confirmed.

The aircraft, which had been dispatched to support emergency response efforts in the Wennappuwa–Lunuwila area, went down into the Gin River while carrying out its assigned operations.

Authorities are currently assessing the situation, and reportedly there are no casualties.

All personnel have been rescued, according to reports.
