Glyphosate ban imposed by former govt to be lifted

The ban imposed by the previous Good Governance regime on the importation of Glyphosate is reportedly to be lifted. Accordingly, a special gazette lifting the ban will be issued today (08).

The declaration has already been submitted to the Government Press and to be printed soon.

The importation of Glyphosate was banned under the regime of former President Maithripala Sirisena, but the current regime’s revised decision will be made into effect from August 05.
