PM proposes to give appointments to aggrieved graduates

Date:

Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena promised that graduated persons who are aggrieved due to not being given appointments will be provided with solutions soon, days after the President’s speech on implementing a redundancy plan in the public sector.

The Prime Minister made this observation in response to a query raised by Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa in Parliament today (29). Premadasa questioned what would be the steps taken to serve justice to 461 graduates who have not yet been employed in the public sector due to various shortcomings.

Gunawardena noted that he as the Minister of Public Administration will discuss the matter with the Ministerial Secretary and that solutions will be provided as soon as possible.
