July 07, Colombo (LNW): A prisoner who was seriously injured during the recent unrest at Negombo Prison has died while undergoing treatment at Negombo Hospital, according to the Police.
The latest fatality has increased the overall death toll from the incident to 27.
Police confirmed that those who lost their lives comprise seven prison officers and 20 inmates.
