Showers or thundershowers are expected at times over Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces, as well as the Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts, with cloudy skies prevailing across these areas.
Fairly heavy falls exceeding 75 mm are likely at some locations in Sabaragamuwa province and in the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Several spells of showers may also occur in the North-western province.
Strong winds of around 40–50 kmph can be expected at times over the North-central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Central and North-western provinces.
The public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damage caused by temporary, localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
