August 10, Colombo (LNW): Ishara Sewwandi, who is in custody in connection with the murder of ‘Ganemulla Sanjeewa’, has been ordered to remain in remand custody until August 21 by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.
The suspect was brought before the court today (10) by officers of the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) as investigators continued their inquiries into the killing.
During the proceedings, the CCD submitted an update detailing the progress made in the investigation and presented the relevant facts before the court.
Having considered the information placed before it by investigators, the Colombo Magistrate’s Court directed that Sewwandi be further remanded until August 21.
