Two blocks of Yala National Park will be temporarily closed to visitors from September 14 to October 15 due to the prevailing dry weather conditions.
Director General of Wildlife Ranjan Marasinghe said Block 1 and Block 2 of the national park will be closed during this period as a precautionary measure in view of the prevailing conditions.
He added that the other blocks of Yala National Park will remain open to the public for wildlife viewing during the temporary closure.
