Hearing of petitions against Yugadanavi Deal dragged in

The hearing of petitions seeking nullification of the decision to hand over the government shares of the Kerawalapitiya Yugadanavi Power Plant to a US Company has been postponed to February 03 and 07.

The petitions were taken up in the Supreme Court today, but Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya did not appear for the hearing.

Accordingly, any consideration of the petitions will be announced in February.
