Representatives of opposition parties are expected to stage a protest near the Parliament Roundabout on September 24 against the proposed 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, the Joint Opposition announced.
The announcement was made today during a programme attended by representatives of the Joint Opposition.
The opposition representatives alleged that the proposed amendment could create conditions for the country to move towards a one-party system under the present Government.
They said representatives from all opposition parties would participate in the protest near Parliament on September 24 to voice their opposition to the proposed constitutional amendment.
